Maya Vakfı will “empower” social services centers under the Ministry of Family and Social Policies!

The foundation will develop and implement programs to improve the social workers employed in social service centers about psychosocial support and trauma within the scope of the agreement signed by Dr. Muhammet Örnek, Director General, Department of Community Services, Ministry of Family and Social Policies, and Dr. Julide Ergin, General Director, Maya Vakfı.

Maya Vakfı, which organises regular trauma and self-care trainings for ÇATOM, SHM and local NGO staff in the GAP (Southeastern Anatolia Project) Region, will update the scope and content of these trainings according to the needs analyses in social service centers.

Implementation of the pilot program will begin in the social service centers (SHM) in Istanbul and following the measurements and evaluations, the project will be spread across Turkey by the Ministry of Family and Social Policies and Maya Vakfı with “train the trainer” activities.
