Maya Vakfı (Foundation) Provides Volunteer Training for Robert College Students
On 30 January 2026, Maya Vakfı (Foundation) met with volunteer students participating in Robert College’s Community Involvement Program (CIG) and delivered a training on volunteering in social responsibility work. The training focused on connecting good intentions with an informed and appropriate approach before entering the field. Participants explored key considerations when working with children, how communication in volunteering can be built around trust and boundaries, and why a trauma-informed perspective is critical in field settings. Through case studies, students also discussed situations they may encounter in practice and were supported in preparing for field engagement.
